Description

The AG27QXM shares many similarities with plenty of other competing options on the market, such as its 1440p resolution, 170Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 27-inch screen size.

Unfortunately these modes are locked down for brightness and colour controls, but there are also 3 fully customisable ‘Gamer 1 – 3’ modes which may be useful to set up for different gaming scenarios if you want. Can't say I have had much trouble getting what I have from the list above, but figuring out those things definitely took a long time, yes. it ticks pretty much every box, and on paper should have a far superior FALD array (576 zones, mini LED) compared to the Inzone. The NTSC (1953) color space is introduced in 1953 by the FCC with the appearance of color television and has a wider gamut than the sRGB. Switch settings between in-built presets for FPS, racing, or RTS games, or customise your own ideal conditions and save them. The AOC AGON Pro AG274QXM gaming monitor is one of the few Mini LED screens available on the market today, and the first one that I’ve had the pleasure of using. HDR expands the contrast ratio (peak luminance and minimal black levels) and color palette to achieve more details across the whole image - from the darkest parts to the brightest ones, which results in more realistic and life-like image.

No monitor manufacturer is going to give you 6-12 months for you acclimatize your eyes to their product, so AOC is no different than Dell, LG, Samsung, etc. Anything over dE 3 needs correcting and causes more obvious differences in appearance relative to what should be shown. This is one of the key differentiators in this 1440p monitor space if you’re looking at HDR performance.Finance is only available to permanent UK residents aged 18+, subject to status, terms and conditions apply. What this means is that when the carnage begins to unfold on screen, you’ll always have a handle on it. Contrast ratio is the visual distance between the lightest and the darkest colors that may be reproduced on the display. Especially so without a useable sRGB mode where you unfortunately don’t have access even to the brightness control.

Compatible with other AOC products, you can put together a symphony of colour that is a stunning additional visual as you play. Gamut coverage – we provide measurements of the screens colour gamut relative to various reference spaces including sRGB, DCI-P3, Adobe RGB and Rec. that's why I ideally want a review, or in lieu of that, to hear of someone else's experiences before pulling the trigger. Beneath this RGB balance graph we provide the average correlated colour temperature for all grey shades measured, along with its deviance from the 6500k target. When talking about the look and design of the AOC AGON Pro AG274QXM, I feel compelled to start off by discussing its annoyingly large stand. Then there’s common IPS technology specs like a 1000:1 contrast ratio, wide 178/178 viewing angles; and also colour enhancements like wide colour gamut and 10-bit colour depth that you’d find on most modern gaming screens. The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. I also agree that 32" is a better resolution overall for 2160p, but after a few in-person tests I've settled on 32" just being too damn large for me, especially with the secondary display. For measurement we use a UPRtek MK550T spectroradiometer which is particularly good for colour gamut and spectrum measurements.

The AG274QXM is certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 standard thanks to its high end Mini LED backlight. This is common on all wide gamut screens, but its particularly inaccurate here because of the particularly wide colour space. That would be true if I had the type of time and energy needed to do something like that - and sadly I don't.
