When he felt that he had gathered enough experience, he set up his own business, Geoffrey Beene, Inc., in Manhattan, New York. His company was located on Seventh Avenue (also dubbed Fashion Avenue) and featured a design showroom that soon attracted New Yorkers from all ways of life. Only one year after the company was founded, one of Beene's designs was featured on the cover of VOGUE fashion magazine. Some of his most prominent customers were the well-known actresses Glenn Close and Faye Dunaway and Nancy Reagan, the First Lady of the United States from 1981 to 1989.

I think this scent has the potential to grow on me. It's quite potent upon the first spray, and the astringent, bright, soapy quality might turn some people off. The sillage is much more pleasant than sniffing it up close. It's too harsh when smelled up close, and I don't think it was meant to be smelled that way.so sorry that the fragrance has been reformulated somewhere in between and now has the green aquatic quality in it.

However, during those warmer months, this is such a fantastic fragrance to wear to pretty much any occasion. It’s great for casual wear, it’s subtle and safe enough to wear it to the office, and it’s mysterious enough to wear to a festive event. 2.
