Description

Captains used to show off their rum’s quality by igniting it with gunpowder to show “proof” of integrity to their crews in the old days, but this practice has faded. From his humble beginnings to becoming immortalised by his legacy with the great-tasting Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum we know today, this is the story of Norman Collins. It was the Bacardi Rum Company that changed the world of rum-making with innovations like charcoal filtering. In addition to rum, it also makes scotch, vodka, and whiskey – all under the Bacardi brand name. If you’re looking for updated Sailor Jerry rum prices, you’ve landed on the right post! Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum was created after extensive, deep-dive research into the history of marine rums. You will be able to smell spicy aromas of cinnamon and caramel with traces of citrus-like lime as the burn starts going down. In addition to being a superb sipping rum, Sailor Jerry Rum makes a fantastic mixer.

As a sipping rum (on its own no ice) it is certainly not my idea of smooth. In the mouth it burns like a fairly young mixing rum. Rough around the edges and quite harsh. Unusually, it has a lot of oak and tobacco tones. It is initially very sweet on the tip of the tongue but it soon becomes very bitter. At 40% it is quite strong for a spiced rum and the finish is very hot with a lot of alcohol burn. When a cube of ice is added (okay I’ve added 3 and another good slug of the rum) it does certainly mellow out the bitterness, reduces the alcohol burn and bitter aftertaste considerably. Like this, the rum could be sipped. It wouldn’t be the most complex or rewarding of sipping experiences though. It’s pretty flat to be honest. There isn’t a great deal of flavour coming through this way. Follow the instructions on the fruit punch as per usual. Then pour in an ounce of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum followed by lots of ice cubes. Finally, garnish with fruit wheels in your favorite flavor for a delicious, chilled drink. Spice it up with a Ginger Daiquiri

SAILOR JERRY’S BUSINESS CARD

In addition to sailing and tattooing, he played the saxophone in his own dance band and frequently hosted his own radio show, where he was known as "Old Ironsides". [1] [3] [4] [5] Body artist [ edit ] Beautiful hula dancers always greeted sailors when they arrived on the island. Who is Sailor Jerry? Norman Keith Collins, better known as Sailor Jerry, founded Sailor Jerry Rum. As a tattoo artist, Collins preferred sailor-themed designs. The flavor will ultimately play a key role in selecting whether you or a friend will try rum since the price difference is barely noticeable. Kraken Combine the ginger slice, syrup, mint leaves, and lime wedges in the very bottom of your glass to make sure you get all those natural flavors and oils out. Sailor Jerry Rum was created in honor of Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, the undisputed father of the old school tattoo and a true independent spirit.
