<<< Belvoir Castle : 23rd-25th August 2008

Bank Holiday Major. Sunny weekend, great location, huge site and a great beer tent to get drunk and party in. Who can be bothered to actually do any fighting? Good to just stand around and admire the view for a change. And we still got voted Regiment of the year !!

Steeple Ashton : 5-8th July 2008 >>>

Nice weekend with Tilliers in a Choc.Box village in Wiltshire. The Guards even executed a few villagers.

<<< Kelmarsh Hall : 3rd-5th May 2008

Naseby Major. The Demise of the Bluecoats. Sunny weekend, Huge site, huge attendance and a great Beer Tent. Pity about the outcome.

Sword School : 24-25th November 2007 >>>

Superb annual Sword school & Quiz in Wendover School hosted by Andy G & Andy S.
The FishnChips were good too, and the cooked hotdog at brekkie

<<< Syon Park : 28th October 2007

Cold Dull Damp Day in Chiswick, nice battle, nice house to explore & lots of tent to shelter under.

Ruthen : 28-29th July 2007 >>>

Lovely sunny weekend in spectacular North Wales for those who came, saw, thrashed the scots & didnt break a leg (unlike someone we know)

<<< Shugborough House : 14-15th July 2007

The wettest multi-period major weekend in SK history - at a charming NT Property. At least it was dry for the battles and for Barrie's fancy dress party (!!)

Althorpe House : 5 - 7th June 2007>>>

Pleasant sunny weekend hosted by Ruperts, with barbecue and support from Tilliers (again)(we must stop meeting like this). Wet  long walk to the pub, for those who made it, even longer even wetter even more uncomfortable walk back for those who didnt.
Inspected by The Earl who also flogged us his book!

<<< Berkeley Castle, Glos. : 26th-28th May 2007

Wet and Dull, but still a spectacular Battle location in original Castle grounds

Basing House :7 - 9th April 2007 >>>

Sunny day, olde-worlde location. Hot march from the pub, uphill battle on the old site, then march back to the pub. Some injuries here - too enthusiastic?

<<< Cheriton : 23rd March 2007

A cold wet windy weekend in March hosted by Tilliers .. a long long, long walk to the skirmish on the Saturday followed by pub, fireworks & BeerTent  - with a great band.
A Much Shorter Walk to a Sunday service overlooking the battlefield  (with free wine & cake) on  Sunday morning and a much shorter skirmish in the afternoon with Tilliers (after photos and some drill practice)

Simon & Sue's Wedding 9th Sept 2006 >>>

Simon & Sues Wedding.
Lovely day, Lovely weather, Lovely setting and lots of fine frocks - and that was just the guys..

<<< Southwell : 27 -28th August 2006

Major battle set on the Southwell racecourse. Miles from the town, a campsite as packed as a refugee camp, and distinctly dubious 'beer-tent' in 'the bar'. But the weather was great and the battles magnificent ! We had to lie down at the end as there was no-one left to fight us and we had taken the field !!! - ( & we were supposed to lose ).

Spetchley Park: 5 - 6th August 2006 >>>

Major battle set in the grounds of a large stately home. Great weather, great turn-out, great camp site, great beer-tent,  and great band. Pity there wasnt much of an audience - and as 'Scots' we all got slaughtered at the end !

<<< Ringwood, Hampshire 8-9th July 2006

Interesting town, though dubious campsite. Pub lunch, march through town then good battle. For a movie of the march - see here

Wetherby,Yorkshire 28-29 May 2006 >>>>

A Huge Major, with a cast of thousands!

Nice location, great weather, long, long march from camp to battlefield but  great campsite & great beer-tent.

Wetherby town was close and nice too!!

<<< Berkeley Castle, Glos. : 29th April - 1st May 2006

Had it all, -  Hot sunny weather , spectacular Battle location in original Castle grounds, spectacular night attack with flaming pike and cannons.Campsite was fine, local village was close and we had nearby pubs and take-outs. They even gave us all a tour of the house !!

Nantwich- January 28th 2006 >>>

Pleasant Saturday afternoon in the Park by the river. Pub lunch first, then march thru town, then Battle then more pub then Indian (for those that stayed)
